Final Project : Chartiy Drive Event

 

A true, practical experience on business management and product marketing is important for students like us as business is not just about theories. It is about being able to really earn money by applying business skills.

 

 

This assignment gives us the opportunity to run a mock business and earn money. All the profit is then donated to a charity organization.

In this project, we need to run a business and all the fund will donated to the charity, the purpose of this project is to give students understanding in running a business, what actions or steps need to consider in starting the business. The time we are given is one week and the venue is around the student life center.

 

After much thinking and considering, we have decided to sell phone casing, the reason for this is, we think that now a days, everyone have a smart phone, so selling phone casing is not a bad idea because they all need a phone casing to protect their smart phone. But we still have to consider what type of phone casing to sell, for example the style and also thickness of the phone casing. So we look up at the highest popularity of phone casing. The conclusion is the ‘shakable phone casing’. Our main target is selling our product to students, lecturers and also visitors. We get our phone casing in KL city plaza lowyat. 

Earn an amount of money is not easy as ABC, although it is a charity drive. But a learning process about business can be done in this assignment. Slowly, we get confidence by promoting and walk around the campus to sell our phone casing. 

 

 

I learnt that earning money is not an easy task as the process of promotion and selling was more energy-consuming than we thought. Also, certain events happened such as internal group conflicts between teammates but luckily our team still managed to pull it off.

 

 

Business is mostly about being practical. From this project, we improved our communication skills, most prominently on ways to persuade others. Interpersonal skills are essential when it comes to doing business and the lessons learnt in this project gave us valuable experience.
