Project 1 :Solid vs Void – “Shaping Light & Space”
The task of this project is to design and build any basic shape of your choice in an imaginary volume of 12”X12”X12” space using solid and transparent materials.
In this project, I have recognized how intrinsic forms, limitations and boundaries of a material factor in a design process. maximum 3 materials can be used, it was challenging to make the form look as I imagined. A basic understanding of building making in relation to materials, design considerations of material according to their properties have been enhanced through this project. lastly, how is the space and shadow form inside my design when light come through.

project 2: “Materiality of SPACE : An Experiential Exploration”
In groups of 5, select a commercial building (fun, creative space) which allows you to experience and explore most of the building materials covered in the module. Commercial building covers :
1. Shopping complexes
2. Shop lots
3. Government or Private Offices (headquarters/ branches of an organization)
4. Galleries
individually, each of us must provide information of a particular space in our group's chosen building.

we investigate their innate materiality are amplified, overlaid and combined to provoke desired ambience and atmosphere. Explore the use of light and shadows, the aural, tactile and visual qualities of materials and how their juxtapositions can draw out emotional responses that engender a multi-sensory poetic experience. (For example, the sense of mystery and depth evoked by the withholding and concealing nature of shadows, or one of intensity and focus by combining light with strong colours).
1. Thresholds – transition between public walkway to private interior : experimential threshold between the exterior and the interior of the house
2. Materiality Light & Shadow : explore how the manipulation of natural and artificial light has effects on material’s surface.
3. Tactically of Materials : texture, colour and installation.
