Assignment 1 : Compare Contrast Essay
The very first assignment is to write a 800-1000 words essay. It can be only chose 1 genre out from 2 different genre, science fiction and disastrous. Also, I have to provide a reference lists that pass up together with my essay.
Before I finish this assignment, it is a lot exercise given by the lecturer. If you follow the rules and regulation of the essay, you will be score as the essay is about format. 6 paragraph with topic sentences in introduction, 4 sub-topic and conclusion. The pre-writing also guide me to write up the points. Therefore, plan well the pre-writing before start writing the essay.
I have learnt a new writing skill after this assignment, it is different from the essay that we write in secondary school. For instance, provide a APA format references is a new thing to me.
As I wrote this essay, lifelong learning is engaged as I learnt about methods to locate, extract and arrange information in a more effective way. Critical thinking skills are involved when I brainstormed about differences between these two movies. Moreover, I hope that through assignments like this, my language and communication skills can improve further as I proceed in my studies.
