PROJECT 2A : TRANSFORMING 2D TO 3D
This group project requires students to translate the given words into shapes and forms and transform design principles into 3D form. We will need to first understand and explore the given words and go through 3 stages of transformation that will be executed during tutorial class.
The first process is to get the 3D forms that reflect the given word using plain white model boards. In the second stage, the best 3D model from the first stage will then go through a colouring process.
Next, the third stage requires students to explore materials that are suitable for the final artwork. Simple explanation boards need to be displayed to further explain all the art pieces.

From this project, I learnt that design is not just about making something visually attractive. In fact, it is about fulfilling its function and being able to convey the desired messages to users or viewers.
In group projects, we are encouraged to be more intellectually engaged and discuss ideas together. With the diverse perspectives of all team members, we managed to come up with sufficient ideas to complete this assignment.
All in all, this project provided us a good learning process by exposing us to vital stages in three-dimensional design.
